I got to visit with my dead Father.

A few years ago, when I was sleeping, I was pullled from this world to see my Father. You see my Dad had spent 30 or so years in Hell and was invited by God to be a short-order cook for the angels up in Heaven. Who knew Angels ate, but it was my father's job to cook for them and keep them happy.
Let me back up, when I was pulled from this world into the next, it was quite strange. I had to drive across a bridge that didnt look very much different from the Sakonnet Bridge out to Cape Cod. I must have spent most of the night traveling to see him because that is the part I remember most.
When I got to his kitchen, he was prepping a meal for the angels and seemed a little taken aback to see me. In truth, I think this was a tale of caution, because my father was a twice-divorced man who apparently was also a lousy father and an otherwise shitty human being in life.
My father used the time I had with him to berate me into being skinny and talk to me like I was special needs saying I could never make a movie with my ADHD. He didnt show any fatherly love or any kind of reform from his time in Hell and otherwise warned me not to tell the world about my ADHD and how he and my mother never had me tested as a kid so that I could be a full functioning adult. It wasn't the best of visits and I walked out of there feeling my father didn't love me as a his only son and would otherwise like to see me go back to being a captain.
Well I'm not doing that and I will make every effort to tell the story of The Great Loop in four part harmony for all the world to see. And if my father has anything to say about the fact that I was damn near 50 years old before I learned I was ADHD then he can sqaure himself with that and I hope God sent him back to Hell after our little visit.

As to my Mother, I do miss her and havent heard from her at all. Its werid, because my Mom was never one to hold her tongue in life and I can only assume that she is watching over me and keeping quiet. But if My Mom reads this and finds out that I am living and working as a journalist in Klamath Falls, Oregon, trying to get a job doing anything in my field of work. As a former-ADHD kid who walked away from every good job he ever had, I will be serving bar at the Running Y with the hopes of finding a job that will give me health insurance.
I wish you well and your visits with your dead parents go better than mine did.
