I was a Captain, Now I'm a Filmmaker

When I was a young boy, about three years of age, I was left on a street corner for multiple hours. I screamed my head off and begged for someone to cross me to my home, but no one came. That incident caused a glitch in my head which caused me to develop ADHD. Some 40 years later I was diagnosed and last year I was declared free of ADHD by my doctor.

Of sure I still have a few taxes to pay when it comes to ADHD. Some times I forget to hit record. Some times there is a question I forger to ask. As sometime I just flub an entire day and miss my meetings. Those moments are getting more and more infrequent, but they still happen every now and again and that is why I always click the yes I had a disabiltiy when filling out applications.

But when you look at my resume, I look pretty erratic. While I did serve the merchant marine for 20 some odd years, and only recently returned to journalism, I am quite good at what I do as a Journalist and film maker and if anyone wants to know, I am working with orders from the Lord Above to work on films.

While I am not a seasoned film maker, I did attend Boston University and focused my studies on filmmaking. Granted, while I am a little late to the game, I am working to earn my way into the film making world with the purpose of creating a docuseries about the Great Loop. a six thousand mile voyage around the Eastern Seaboard of the USA.

I tried to make a few different films and published a few books, including one about my film the Great Loop, https://www.amazon.com/-/zh_TW/Christopher-R-German/dp/B09PM782W4 , but bad timing, lack of funding and outright chicanery often caused those film projects to founder. Now I am working on a film about the fish of the Klamath Basin who will eventually go extinct and ruin the culture and traditions of the Klamath People.

I think I will have the funding to make this film and will do my best to see this project to the end, but we shall see. There is a whole bunch of chicanery happening in the world right now and who know where this will all end. But the only real reason I am making this film is so that I can get hired in the movie making business when everyone says I am too old to work in the movie business.
